Here’s more about the artists-in-residence:
Cindy Goh
Cindy, the founder of Slowdown Art, discovered the healing power of art during one of the most difficult periods in her life. In those moments, she turned to simple tools like pencils and scrap paper, creating freely without any pressure for perfection or a specific outcome. This practice became her sanctuary—a way to release emotions, unburden her mind, and reconnect with herself. Through the act of drawing, painting, or simply scribbling, Cindy found that creating art mindfully helped her let go, embrace imperfection, and be fully present in the moment.
This personal journey inspired Cindy to share the therapeutic effects of mindful artmaking with others. Her workshops are not about creating masterpieces but about exploring creativity as a form of self-care—a way to de-stress, process emotions, and enjoy the calming flow of the process. Through Slowdown Art, Cindy invites everyone, from busy parents to working professionals, to pause, slow down, and reconnect with their inner selves, one brushstroke or doodle at a time.
