The one about Travel Sketch Art Supply
Its time to update you on my currently used, most used travel sketch kit since I started travelling again this year. The above was my sketch kit to Cambodia, February 2022. The Work horse palette is seen there which is a thin Schmincke palette with 22 colours, I will itemise the colours further below.
In the sketch kit is also my self made white corrugated plastic board which I learned from Liz Steel :) Set of two metal water container that’s actually meant for oil painters, but as long as the lid is is water tight, it works for watercolour too.
A couple of bulldog clips, a towel and a small foldable stool, and I was sketching everywhere for 14 days with that basic tools. Ofcourse there are pens and pencils etc that I do not mention. More on those later.
Here’s the breakdown of my work horse Schmincke palette - 22 Colours

The rest of my sketch kit changes as the mood and location changes too but basic must haves stays the same, they are as seen above :
Medium Round Water brush by Pentel
Micron Pens, Brown or Black 0.1
Pigment ink White Signo Uniball
Yeah, I also use a Fude pen by Sailor, but I also use a brush pen from Pentel. Inks I use are waterproof inks, the Carbon Blacks, and all the D’atramentis Document inks are wonderful.
And then, I went very small, I reduced the size of the work horse palette by using the very thin Folio Art Tool Kit’s palette, and this is what I used when traveling in Australia July 2022.
