Archive Sale 2024: 2011 Batik Dye works on rice paper
This is my series titled Never Odds or Even, and was shown in a solo exhibition of the same title in 2012 With Puri Gallery, Jakarta, Indonesia.
The artworks takes it’s inspiration in my cultural heritage, batik dyes and my background in Fashion Design, to culminate in a series of very contemplative abstractions that seem to resemble CGI or the pulse of our spirit. I also draw on a lot of language gaps and misunderstanding that tends to generate interesting misinterpretations.
